He was dead the moment he was caught. If someone kidnaps a person and says "turn the world upside down, or we'll kill him" you sort of have to accept what the outcome will be. Spineless little pussies preying on civilians and acting like it makes them brave or something. I hope its the Saudis and no one else who catches these guys, because they deserve a public beheading Saudi-style.

Regarding the guy in the article who stated it is hard to reach out to their Muslim brethren due to Abu Ghraib and other bad news from Iraq and that it is "war." Well, Abu Ghraib was treated as a travesty here, but we now have footage from when Saddam ran Abu Ghraib where a line of prisoners would be brought in, each to have their tongue cut out and left pink and wriggling on the floor for speaking out against Saddam. Where men would have both arms broken into complete V-shapes with iron pipes, where fingers were cut off, hands excised. Why wasn't it war then? Why was there no outcry when Saddam was ruthlessly maiming their Muslim brethren? Why are we so evil, when that is the comparrison. We saw a travesty, treated it as one, and stopped it -- but we are somehow evil and need to be attacked?

TL is right. As a matter of fact, i need to raise a question. Not so lately France soldiers killed 40 innocent cvilians in sudan, correct me if i am wrong. I do not know the entire picture, so feel free to correct. The newspapers chose it to be published on the 9 page of the newspaper. The treatment of the prisoners in Abu ghraib, was on the first page, AFAIK.

I see a trend here.

Baron just because it ended up on page 9, it doesn't mean it wasn't important. It is alway important and news worthy when wrong is done. Especially when that wrong results in a loss of life, but if the US can be associated with the wrong and especially the loss of life, THEN you've got a page one story with a ready made audience.
