Question Mark

WHAT has come over these boards this past week since the full moon?!? I mean, really! WTF? I see usualy normal members trolling, flaming, antagonizing the mods(?), and even Z HIMSELF!

I've only been active with this name for a few months, but I've been around IW for a few years. I must say that the service that Z supplies is outstanding, especially considdering the investment he requires of us - NONE! This is a great place for gamers to get together and share about their favorite games and just BS about life in general.

I am shocked and appalled by the threads Ziroc and Memnoch have started lately and even more so by some of the replies in those threads that flaunted what the threads were intended to address. Z and the other moderators really work hard to keep this a community that we can enjoy, and they do it for free.

So here's my note of appreciation for all the hard work that goes into making IW what it is. I have always known the mods to be reasonable and fair and they truely deserve the respect that their authority grants them. Thank You.

Just quick tech note before I close. About the spam threads that have popped up lately. There is a reason Ziroc doesn't want them. Not only do they take up harddrive space, they also tie up the server, consume bandwidth, and affect it's performance. Yes, they can be fun, but web servers are not really designed to handle that kind of traffic. Chat servers, and IRC/IM servers are; and this board does have a chat room. Are post counts really that important to us? Do the cute (or not so cute ) pictures under our names really matter?

I really hope this us all just a phase of the moon. Why don't we all just drink a little Wiskey, get a little closer with a nice Tango, and then finaly liven things up with a stimulating Foxtrot? ...... until the party's OVER ....

OUT

Thanks, Night Stalker. I think you summed up the thoughts of many members in your post.

Ironworks has been and will continue to be, a place where you can interact and discuss games, life and Choc without having to wade through trolls and flames to find things you want to participate in.

Everyone here, members, webmaster and mods, make it that way. Here's to the members who care about their board!

Goodnight everyone, it's way past this Cloud's bedtime.

I would also like to extend my thanks to Ziroc and all the mods that make this a great place. With all the time and effort they have put in, IW has become a great place. We see their passion for this great place in what they do here. We all should thank them for doing this often thankless chore.

So, thank you Ziroc and all of the mods!

Cheers!

Nice to see you Lord K and you to Lord Starshadow! I'd like to thank you and all the people who have posted or pm'd their support for Ironworks and it's troll-free, flame free environment. Someone pointed out that's a darn good deal considering it's PAY free too! Lot's of us donate to help keep it afloat, but Ziroc pays for most of it and maintains it on his own. That's a darn good deal in my book!

I would also like to send out my thanks as well. Everyone keep up the good work(mods webmaster, and all IW members).

Nice topic. With all the tension around here it is nice to have something postive.

To all mods, not that you need my seal of approval, but just to let you know:

Except for Memnoch's little dangly-thingy ( ), I have not seen reason to dispute any of you. And, coming from a polemico a**hole like myself, that means a lot.
