Hey there, been posting here and there today - trying to actually do some work. BG has still not arrived ::heavy sigh::
Our Users server at work just died, so I am jumping on that opportunity to say Happy Monday to everyone posting. Tilia |

Kynaeus - sorry to hear about the teacher troubles.
Lav - I hope you got some sleep, at least. Eagle Eye - thanks for the chronological update, given my brain, I probably would have missed it. Server didn't really crash - as I thought yesterday. I was talking to the IT guy as we headed down the elevator at 5:00 yesterday. (Eagle Eye, I believe that would have been Monday for me). The server just decided to reboot itself - not a good thing for servers to think on their own. IT guy said that was the same thing the Exchange server did before it died, so he's got to get authorization for a new server to be purchased so he'll have one ready to install when the Users Server crashes. Today (Tuesday still Eagle Eye - for me anyway), in Maine anyway, it's pouring right now. I believe it is remnants of Arlene that passed Ziroc's way over the weekend. Be well people! |

I got some sleep, went to bed at 2.30 after completing BG, and then posting on here for a bit. Was up at 8 lol.

Whoa, Lav, congrats on finishing BG! I'm playing it, finally. Beat BG2 and NWN SoU and IWD etc but never actually finished BG so I'm hoping to do that at some point.
Tilia, good luck with those server issues. I find our IT people almost always have a variety of 'stock answers' for most outages! Hey, I'm curious, how did you originally find IW if you hadn't played BG or anything before? We're not on the usual beaten track for just chatting as we mostly get found by gamers. ![]()

Actually I Googled Baldur's Gate and the rest is history. It took 2 or 3 days for processing the registration so by the time I was granted acesses I was frothing at the bit (so to speak) as to which game to get. I wanted to do something and because of the wonderful patient replies I received - you all will never be rid of me!!! Our IT department is only 2 people big and being the bit of a geek that I am [I pick up programs and concepts quicker than most I am told] I'm somewhat into the fold. Our head IT guy was so psyched when we got the blade servers he had to share it. It's amazing how small things are getting now. Hell, the CPU I have at my desk is about 3" (wide) x 12" (tall) x 12" (deep). Our lawfirm has about 80 attorneys, figure one assistant for every 2 to 3 attorneys, so it's not small, but by no means huge either. Lucky me, I get to work for 3! But they are all great to work for, else I don't think I'd be post as much as I have this last week!! Speaking of, must return to the brief I've been typing up. T |

Yeah, was quite proud Cloudy.
Finished it around 3 years ago, but I want to run through the whole lot as I've never played ToB. Then onto IWD+HoW+TotL, then IWD2, then NWN+SoU+HotU. Got a lot on! Cloudy, if your interested, check out this post! [ 06-14-2005, 03:20 PM: Message edited by: Lavindathar ]

LOL, Chinese Secret...I thought that was Calgon (well Hubby says it's something else, he's too young to remember and I must be getting senile....
![]() edit: hehe...hubby's gonna owe me dinner... I was right! ![]() Lav, COOL! I liked your party. I'm using a cleric in one and have two others started with a bard and a mage. Think so far I like the one with the Cleric best, but who knows how long it'll take me to finish any one of them! [ 06-14-2005, 07:49 PM: Message edited by: Cloudbringer ]
