Sad

So do you have "computer clean up" day? You know when you start all the anti-virus programs, search for spyware and defrag your system? I have automatic updates for my two AV programs, I run them both once a week. Tomorrow I will use defrag funtcion to defrag my two discs becuase I have not done it over a year AFAIK.

Yes. Every day. At 13:30 a cascade set of virus, spy, and other malware scanners fire up, update and scan one at a time. I Defrag every two weeks, make back-ups every month and format C every three. Some of you might call me a bit paranoid, but I don't care, as long as my PC is clean as a whistle and works like a charm

Wow! That must cause quite a hassle when you have to redo everything again, but I'm sure it pays off and you have the safest computer ever.

I'm the same as Gxc - I scan when I think somethings wrong, I defrag when it's chugging along slowly, etc.

I've got a 40GB hard with a fully installed system, and it has all the backups and a little notepad file that sets off a whole line of program setups in chain. I replace the programs on the list with new ones as they come up, they mostly consist of drivers, codecs, safety proggies and such stuff. I think the install list has ome 25 entries right now...

I'll clean it when I feel like it. Currently haven't clean mine for nearly half a year.

I usually clean it up once a month, Defrag, scandisk, virus scan once a week, spyware scan once a week.

Blow it out with compressed air once a month as well.

Like Bozos, every day (mine at noon). I'll be out for lunch & practice, and by the time I get back all will have completed. It's the way to go.

In windows: every day
In linux: never I only check if I have useless programs hanging around when I update the rest. And there's no virus/spyware to worry about
